The United States Department of Education’s Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) in Washington, D.C. will be visiting two South Carolina state agencies the week of October 31, 2011. These visits are part of their continuous improvement monitoring process. OSEP will meet with BabyNet (FirstSteps) and the South Carolina Department of Education for a verification visit to learn how the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) is working for South Carolina families and their children.
