Helping Your Child to Become a Self-Advocate

We at Federation of Families of SC value and teach advocacy skills starting with self-advocacy and leading up to advocating at the federal level. The National Center for Learning Disabilities has an excellent blog post about seven ways to foster self-advocacy skills in your child. Self-advocacy is a life-long gift you will be giving them!

Although this blog article is from a learning disabilities group, it is pertinent to all families that have children with special needs.
