June is National PTSD Awareness Month

The National Center for PTSD has designated the month of June as National PTSD Awareness Month in hopes of educating the public about this serious anxiety disorder, making resources and treatment options accessible, and reducing the stigma associated with those diagnosed with PTSD. Posttraumatic Stress Disorder is a serious mental health problem that can affect anyone who has experienced a traumatic or life-threatening situation. The first step in treating these invisible wounds is talking about it. Please visit the National Child Traumatic Stress Network for a library of resources to help yourself or loved ones who may be struggling with PTSD.
