SAMHSA Children’s Mental Health Awareness Day Evaluation

We are pleased to present you with Evaluation Update 23 — Children’s Mental Health Awareness Day, May 3, 2011.

Highlights include:

·         An introduction to Awareness Day in general, and to this year’s focus, calls to action, and national events;

·         An overview of the impact of early childhood trauma on young children’s mental health, and what can be done to address it; and

·         Ways that two communities successfully used evaluation data to raise awareness and increase understanding of children’s mental health in their Awareness Day activities.
