Kinship Care Navigation Services

What is a Kinship Caregiver?

A kinship caregiver is anyone caring for a child who is not their own biological child. They are often grandparents, other relatives, friends or neighbors. The Kinship Navigation Services Program is designed to provide support groups, legal services and limited financial assistance to caregivers who may sometimes feel overwhelmed by the sudden responsibility of caring for a child.
