Did you know only 30% of Americans set aside time for self-care? #CatchTheWave on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at Florence County Library, 509 S Dargan St. for the Florence Wave Fest from 11:00am – 2:00pm. Come join us to help increase awareness around the importance of self-care and youth’s mental health conditions.

The Florence Wave Fest is a FREE community event that promotes wellness by connecting children, youth, and families to available resources and fun activities! This celebratory event is held in recognition of National Self-Care Awareness Month which promotes the positive impact of mental health.

Attendees will have the opportunity to explore the Wellness Village. The Wellness Village is made of various vendors and community providers that focuses on the 8 Dimensions of Wellness:

• Emotional
• Environmental
• Financial
• Intellectual
• Occupational
• Physical
• Social
• Spiritual

Vendors will be offering on-site services for participants to include financial advice, haircuts, a gym holding exercise classes or instruction, health screenings and much more. There will also be live entertainment, health screenings, food trucks and a kid’s zone.
